2006 USA made Fender 60th anniversary Jazz Bass in excellent condition. I changed the pickups to Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound Jazz pickups. These pickups are a huge improvement in sound (IMO). The bass came stock with the Fender S-1 switch which allows you to run both pickups in the standard parallel setting, or in series (which makes the pickups act like a big humbucker) at the push of a button. I love the way this bass sounds in the series setting, it really helps to cut through the mix in a band setting.

The neck is a "Modern C" shape. The bass weights 9 lbs on the bathroom scale (so likely between 9 & 9.5 lbs). I believe the body wood is Alder and of course a maple neck. The truss rod turns freely and the frets are in great condition. This bass has not seen much playing time.

The block fret markers are vinyl stickers that give the bass a retro 70's look. They are easily removable and has the standard black dot fret markers underneath.

It has a few minor dings (see pics). Small dent on the back of the neck around the 8th fret location. Two small hair sized scratches on the bottom horn (just noticed it today). There may be a few other small imperfections on the back of the body but overall it is in excellent condition.

A Levi's gig bag is included with sale. I will pack it well in a cardboard box.

    ***Price Dropped***
Asking $750 + actual shipping (paypal is fine). I did some online shipping quotes with Canada Post. Looks like $98 to California with $800 insurance and $113 to Florida with $800 insurance. About $70 within Canada with $800 insurance. I only charge the actual shipping charges.

If you are seriously considering the bass PM me with your Postal/Zip code and I will get an exact shipping quote.

I am looking to upgrade my 5 string so I'm not interested in any trades. Thanks for your interest.

    Hi,
Is it still for sale? If it is how much would it be to ship to France, and why are you selling it?
    Cheers,
    Michel

I have some interest and am waiting to hear back from a few guys. I would need to get a quote to ship to France but I am sure it would not be cheap. I am selling it because I have 2 other jazz basses and would like to upgrade my 5 string bass, otherwise I would hang on to it.

Price Dropped to $750 plus shipping/insuance (Updated in original post).

Thats about $850 shipped to the USA and around the $820 mark for Canadians.

Let me know if I am wrong but I think that is a fair price for a nice clean 2006 USA Fender Jazz with upgraded pickups. Maybe Christmas is just a bad time to sell????

Hmm, maybe pull the vinyl stickers and retake some pics? I could see some not digging it and wanting to see a clean neck. Any thoughts? Keep this bass in people's sights! Best of luck!

I think the pre 2008 models just aren't selling as well.

Friendly bump. Wish I could take it off your hands but bad timing is all, you know, kids and Christmas ($$$).
