I wanted one of these in a bad kinda way after I played one when I first saw them! I was very much impressed with the preamp and pickup configuration in these! Great playing and sounding basses! Plus I am a sucker for black! and block inlays! Someone will be getting a nice one here!

Hmmm, I assumed these were alder< how would one know when they're painted?

Weight is a little over 9 lbs on the BR scale

Anybody care to chime in on the body wood?

How to tell on a painted bass, Ash from Alder?

I am pretty sure the solid colored ones are alder....the trans wine trans white and natural are ash.

If you remove the neck you will be able to see
the wood grain inside the pocket. If it's super
smooth in appearance and feel inside the neck pocket
Then it's most probably Alder.(and if the bass is extremely
light, it could even be Basswood) If the appearance is
grained or stripey, it's likely to be Ash.

Or you can phone the manufacturer & give the serial
number. They should be able to look it up for you.

I've done both of these before and it's easy & quick.

These are outstanding basses and I would love to own this one too! The body should be alder
