    2012 Fender American Jazz Deluxe 4 W/TSA case Black w/Black Blocks. Plays amazing w/Low action, 2 small holes where there was an ash tray cover, hard to see from a few feet away. 9/10 condition. Has case candy shown

    I wanted one of these in a bad kinda way after I played one when I first saw them! I was very much impressed with the preamp and pickup configuration in these! Great playing and sounding basses! Plus I am a sucker for black! and block inlays! Someone will be getting a nice one here!

    Hmmm, I assumed these were alder< how would one know when they're painted?

    Weight is a little over 9 lbs on the BR scale

    I am pretty sure the solid colored ones are alder....the trans wine trans white and natural are ash.

    If you remove the neck you will be able to see
    the wood grain inside the pocket. If it's super
    smooth in appearance and feel inside the neck pocket
    Then it's most probably Alder.(and if the bass is extremely
    light, it could even be Basswood) If the appearance is
    grained or stripey, it's likely to be Ash.

    Or you can phone the manufacturer & give the serial
    number. They should be able to look it up for you.

    I've done both of these before and it's easy & quick.

    These are outstanding basses and I would love to own this one too! The body should be alder
