In 1995 the first Grammy Nominee compilation disc was released. I bought it and every one since. I preorder them on Amazon these days.

Today was the release date of the 2014 version, it arrived on my doorstep as promised. It's okay, 2013's was a particularly good one. Some are good and some, not so good. In any case they are always a sample of what is current.

It's hard to believe that I've been buying these for nearly twenty years.

Does anyone else make the annual purchase?

    Strange but true...

So I guess I'm alone in doing this. I won't bring up the "Now that's what I call music" series then...

K-Tel used to have the current song vinyl albums before the Now, That's What I Call Music series Cds. That takes me back.

K-Tel, wow. Yes, they were doing something similar on vinyl in the 70s. I never bought them back then, but I had a girlfriend at on point who owned everyone of them. I thought that it was sort of cool at the time.

Subliminally, maybe that's what got me started buying these.

    "As advertised on TV!"

Great stuff, thanks for posting that!

(I think that they were available on 8-track too!)
