I've got an ampeq 8x10 cab. I have also recently gotten an ampeq 2x10 mini cab. Would there be any way or any benefit to run them together? Possibly the 2x10 as a monitor? Thoughts?

Well, there is always a way to use extra speakers. You could for example point it at the drummer, or have the 8x10 shoot at the audience and have the 2 x 10 as a side fill.
The more challenging thing is how to manage this. Since the 8x10 is already at 4 Ohm you cannot just hook it parallel to the 2x10 in most cases. Also, if you do that each of the 10s in the 2x10 will get twice the power than each of the drivers in the 8 x 10, so your total max volume before stuff blows up will actually decrease with the additional speaker. Most meaningful way to do tis is to get a second amp for the 2x10 and drive it with the line out. In most cases this is not worth the hassle.
I would use the 2x10 for everything where I do not abolutely need the sound and volume of the 8x10.

That's exactly what I thought. I was worried about the ohmage. Thanks.
