The title says it all! Does anyone out there have any 3 (or more) pickup basses? I always found these to be interesting basses. Modded or stock!

The Black bass at the end is a Fender Urge with J-P-J configuration.

    Sadly, this isn't real.

    But this is.

Also, a TBer has made a few three-pickup basses shaped like oversized Strats - check those out in the luthier's corner.

Clover Avenger looks nice with the unevenly spaced pickups.

    I'd love a Vista Sonic.

The ORIGINAL Burns Bison guitar had 4 pickups - I played one in Glasgow in 1962. The bass had pickups that were very similar, only being 4-pole.

And in the "or more" category...

This one might not count since they're basically wired like one big pickup, but...

Back to three. Here's a signature ESP.

And if you'd like each pickup to be different...

  12. I'm almost finished with this bass. Still working on the pickguard and bridge cover.

Many people criticize these basses. I think they sound great.

There is some serious stuff going on with that beast!

What are the controls, and does it have a stereo out?
