Does anyone make a 33" scale 5 string with 17mm string spacing that costs 2K or less?

Or just over the Fodera deposit :))))

    Stambaugh is a great option.

JOOC...why 33"? I recall seeing a Roscoe (?) in the classifieds months ago that met your requirements...to some degree. It was a one-off custom jobby. There's not a lot of demand for 33" 5 bangers but they are available if you have the coin. Squeeze an extra inch into the equation and it opens up all sorts of options.

+1 Roscoe or Stambaugh. Both top notch. Check out the Ristola (If I have that name right) thread also. Some similarly spec'd instruments over there.

If you go 33" you might want to consider going string through body so you can use any strings you want.

+1 One of my students ordered a 33" scale Stambaugh 6. It was a bit of a wait, but it's a great instrument!

First generation Yamaha TRB5 and TRB6s are 33 1/3" but are 19mm at the bridge. Still they tend to run around $1,500 or so.

In that price range Clement or Stambaugh. Had excellent experiences with both.

Pete Skjold! It'll be a bit more than $2000, however.

You'll be happy with either builder. I'm quite happy with my 3 CB and 2 Stambaugh.

Here's a picture of my Skjold 33" Catacomb. It's an outstanding bass from Pete Skjold.

ACG might be able to sort you out too.
    I've got 4 33" ACG basses and they're amazing :)
