I've got a 2 year old 62P avri that from the get go had a very snug trussrod nut. My jazz bass is the same way. I can still tighten/loosen the nut, but I'm a bit concerned about the future. Are some TR nuts harder turn(even on new basses) than others, or should they all turn easy when new? I've only had to adjust my bass twice; once when new, and just this week due to the climate change. I've been playing guitar for 50 years, as of this year, but only switched to bass 3 years ago because of athritus that would no longer allow me to chord and play a six string with any real success. Also , how hard is it to remove, lube and replace a vintage style TR nut on a Fender bass?
