Which was your favorite/most convincing Marshall Super Lead in a box?

Or did you give up without a winner?

...or are you not selling the winner...?

Well honestly I sort of gave up. There's so much more to that magic than just the sound of a Marshall head, for example a nice 412 to push, that I realized I wasn't going to get it. Beside that, all the Marshall In A Box pedals seems to be trying to cop the Super Lead sound, but the sound I was really after was a lower-gain Super Bass sound, so after much buying, trying, and flipping, I decided to give up the chase. Lame, I know, but in the end it was the best thing for my distortion search, because I ended up finding that the Peavey MAX preamp tube-section, absolutely driven to high gain levels by a Caroline Guitar Company Icarus Boost, sounded more like what I was going for than any distortion pedal alone! So, a happy ending!

I would absolutely trade a pedal for one! That damned Pinhead took it and won't give it back!
