After playing one of these again a couple years ago, I bought up a bunch of them. I currently have 4. I figured 2 was enough. I am selling a blue-ish turquoise model and a pink-ish model. Both are in really nice shape for their age. I have tried to photograph the dings appropriately. Both are all original, except the blue one has Dunlop strap buttons. Both basses have the higher mass better bridge that came on some of them. Both weighed around 8.6 to 8.7 on my bathroom scale, which feels pretty close.
I'm not going to go into huge detail about these models as there is a ton of info out there, and I think everyone on TB is quite familiar with them. They are made in Japan. Here's a bit of info I found on the control layout:
    SWITCHES/CONTROLS:
Selector Switches: One Black 3 Position Pickup (Neck, Both, Bridge) and One Metal 3 Position Circuit
Controls: 1 Volume (furthest from bridge), 1 Tone, 1 Frequency weep (closest to the bridge)
    Output Jack: Body Side
The Fender Power Jazz Bass Special features a unique Active Tone Enhancement (ATE) circuit. which can add low end “pop” or high end “brilliance”. The ATE circuit has three modes: Passive (in which the tone control acts like a standard tone control); Low Frequency Boost; and Midrange Boost.
The Volume control acts just like a regular volume control.

Looking for $500 [now $475 for the blue one] each shipped CONUS. Each has a gig bag.

I'm not really looking for any more basses at the moment, with the exception of stuff I cannot afford.

Bought one of these over the summer and LOVE IT. If I had the cash right now I'd be all over a second one for a defret. Great feeling neck (somewhere between a P and a J)and very easy to get low action. The reverse P pickup makes for a nice tight bottom (and who doesnt love a nice tight bottom?)

Very cool basses, but I never understood why it was called a power jazz when it's built on a p body.

    Nice basses, GLWTS

Let me guess - you're keeping an all-black model and a metallic pearl white all to yourself??

    BUMP and another GLWTS

Actually I am. I noticed the other day that most of my basses are either black, white, or natural finish, so I am sticking with that theme for now.

    7-1/4" radius. It's 1.5" at the nut.

Jazz neck width with a Jazz pick up at the bridge. The only thing P Bass about it is the neck pick up and the body shape.

I had a Candy Apple Red one of these back in the early 90s, and I wish I never got rid of it. The price being asked is an extremely good deal for what you get!

I have a power jazz special... I thought the neck was wider than a typical jazz neck? I don't have a proper jazz anymore, so haven't been able to compare directly, but I really thought the power jazz was wider.
