    hi all
I am having a zoom h2, there is a feature in it which is you press one time REC button to test the recording. so you can hear your voice while you speak. I do use this mode to practice on vocalizes.
is this feature available with other Zoom products.
because I want to buy better quality !

if I understand the question, that is just active metering in standby mode. I've never seen a decent recorder that didn't have that function.

That's all I get when I hit hit my H2's record button once. You don't "hear" anything but the microphones do. (Light flashing) hit it the second time lights solid and it starts recording.

    thanks Steve for your reply.
in fact I am not interested in recording as much as using that mode to practice on singing !
the only issue I am facing with zoom H2 is its quality is low, I am looking for a better one.
