A little help with the GT-10b?

I have a GT-10B which I'm pretty proficient at. I am covering the song "Marching On" by One Republic this weekend:

I'm trying to replicate the bass effect. I have it pretty close, but I'm looking for a way to clip the end of the notes. It sounds like they are running a heavy compressor/noise suppressor to kill sustain on the notes. I've messed with the compression settings but I can't even find anything close. Does anyone have any idea how to do this? I would greatly appreciate any help.
