Here is a rare ABass, DJ Proto model by Albey Balgochian. 4 string jazz style bass. This bass is beautiful and plays very easily. For those of you unfamiliar with ABasses you can check out http://www.abasses.com/ The neck has a comfortable oil finish. It's done by hand and the oil is built up towards the head and heel of the neck like a violin. This is a unique feature of the ABasses. The neck feels great. BODY: Alder, painted white, I think its Nitro. Enough space for an onboard preamp. NECK: Maple, fretted w/ ebony fingerboard PICKUPS: Aero JB4 Type 1, passive HARDWARE: Hipshot ultra light tuners, Schaller roller bridge, DR Sunbeam strings Neck width about 1.48 Neck dimensions: 1st fret: 0.81, 12th fret: 0.93 34" scale Weighs 8.2 on my bathroom scale Work I had done by a Luthier Bridge. Original bridge was a Wilkinson TW4 and I didn't like it. Had the holes from the original bridge plugged and a Schaller roller bridge installed. Wiring Harness. Original pots were 500K, changed to 250K. Copper shielding installed. Frets dressed and fingerboard edges rolled. Hardware. Was originally black, changed to silver. I prefer a local deal either in NYC midtown or near Montclair NJ if possible. Asking what I have in the bass which is $1500.
