    Hey guys, good morning.

Up for sale is a really amazing fretless bass. It's wonderful and I
wanted it to be a lifer, but my P bass isn't moving and I need money now (insert JG Wentworth joke here).

It's all original, a Matt Friedman creation. You would not believe this bass is 20+ years old.

This bass is almost pristine. Just a couple of small, insignificant nicks on the bottom where someone rested it against an amp I guess.

The body is figured mahogany, just beautiful. The board is Brazilian rosewood, as is the wooden bridge. The neck is 7 piece laminate wenge w/ quartersawn maple stringers. Everything is finished in oil.

The pickups are Lane Poor soabars. True blue Lane Poors! Electronics are passive, and the bass sounds unbelievable this way. I was floored when I first heard it...warm, organic, smooth, powerful...just perfect.

When I got this bass, it was beautiful but a bit neglected. Nothing at all terrible, but it had a set of crusty rounds, scratchy tone pot, some string marks on the fretboard, and looked like it hadn't been set up in years.

First thing I did was take it to a luthier, Ruggiero's guitar workshop in Philadelphia...a true master repairman.

He has brought this baby back to life. Neck is wonderful, with beautiful low action. He gently sanded the fretboard marks out of it (IT WAS NOT PLANED) and looks brand new. Along with a professional setup, new strings, and electronics cavity and pot cleaning so nothing is scratchy, and a thorough polishing and cleaning the whole way round, this bass is better than new. This cost hundreds, but worth it to bring this lovely bass back to pristine condition.

Again, I love this bass and want to keep it, but...bills need paying, now. All i want from it is what I have in it, not even counting the impressive, subtle, and lovely work that's been put into it. That, and for the next buyer to love it as much as I do.
[DEL]$1700 [/DEL] $1500 and I will eat shipping CONUS. Would prefer check, MO...really, I need the money and don't want to lose a substantial amount to fees.
IF THIS SELLS TONIGHT I WILL TAKE $1350!!! THAT IS AS LOW AS IT WILL GET, CHANGING IT BACK TO NORMAL PRICE MONDAY MORNING!

Weight: Will weigh exactly, but lighter than my Mustang...probably close to seven pounds.
    Nut: Jazz width
Neck width: very thin back to front, like, Geddy thin

Comes with deluxe original gigbag. VERY safe and functional...think Blues Reunion style safe!

EDIT: DROPPING PRICE FOR A QUICK SALE DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES. MAY CHANGE PRICE BACK TO WHAT I PAID IF IT DOESN'T SELL FAST... MAY CHANGE MY MIND AND KEEP THIS IF I CAN GET FINANCES SORTED OUT.

I was waiting for the pictures as it sounded awesome.

Then discovered it is a fretless. Wasn't mentioned anywhere in your text.

You might want to list that in the subject line and description.

Nice bass. Just not looking for a fretless.

Doesn't mean it's not awesome because it's fretless. In fact, I'd argue the other way. This can easily sound like a fretted if played that way, and it does the fretless thing in spades if you want it to.

Thank you for the tip, title and description amended.
Sorry it's not for you...but it is amazing :)
