    Hey everyone,

I had a quick question to myself just a minute ago. I just recently bought a Aguilar Tone Hammer 500 and two SL112, just an insane setup. Anyway, I was questioning myself, what would a Tone Hammer add to the Tone Hammer 500 if put together? Is it even necessary? I'd like some sort of input, or maybe some of you have this setup.

Well, the pedal is essentially the eq section of the amp, so it would seem unnecessary. But, you could set it up as a 2nd channel.

It also offers you a backup DI that is good sounding and AFAIK reliable.

Thanks guys, I was sort of thinking that it might be a little overkill. Since, essentially the Tone Hammer 500 utilizes the same preamp as the DI.

It could be a nearly identical and very compact backup that could be plugged into the power amp of almost any amplifier with an FX loop!
