Amp modification

    I have two amps. One guitar amp fender (the one that came with a kit) and a bass amp ( a cheap one). My question its about to the viability of buying an amp head and build a little cabinet with both speakers and use it with the guitar and/or a bass... what do you think? Do I have to add the watts of both speaker for the amp power?

    The sound probably won't be that great and the time and effort involved would probably equal the price of picking up an older used amp on craigslist that would be much louder with better tone. but it could be a fun Frankenstein project, I just don't see a real positive result...
