I gigged one for years. Used it alone in practice, put an Ampeg Classic 15 under it for gigs. It had good focus and punch but was a little shy in the lows. My Ampeg 2x10 filled the room better but I liked the high mids of the 4x8. Weighed 75 lbs or so. These days there are much better (IMO) and lighter options for the money, I wouldn't pay more than $200 for one.
