    Hello!
So i tried the pf500 with the pf 1x15 and REALLY liked the tone. The gig was semi-acoustic, so the bass was at low volume.

I bough the 1x15. Now im using it with my friend`s SVT3, since there are no pf500 in stock yet (I live in Uruguay, and im planning to import the head on my own).

The thing is that the cab doesnt handle the power when playing loud.

Will a 2nd 1x15 cab solve me this? will it make the difference?
Also, im going to use them with the pf500 head...

    thanks!
(there is only 1 more 1x15 on sale, so if i decide I have to get it before anyone else!, and cabs will be really expensive to import by my own).

I think it will work well.

Speaking from personal experience, the room & stage-filling difference between one and two 15"s is vast.

yes 2 x PF 115 will give you a lot of power and its the recommended rig setting

A PF-500 and two PF115 cabs would be killer. If you can get the second cab now for less than it would cost you later, do it. Pairing matching cabs is the way to go.

So I just went and brought the 2nd 1x15, thnks guys!

Now I have to import by myself the pf500.... the other option would be to spend more and buy either the SVT 450H or even more and get the SVT3 pro....

What would be the difference in sound/power between those and the pf500? any advice and experience is welcome

IMHO the svt 450 is one of the most lackluster heads from ampeg. The PF-500 would be my choice if your budget is a bit tight. The 3-pro might suit your needs better, but if you are importing I would be sure that I wanted the amp I was working so hard to get to my door.

I totally agree with CL400, BTW. The 450H/B2RE was designed more for people who traditionally didn't care for Ampeg. I can get it to do a decent job with a lot of gain and a lot of EQ, but it's definitely not the typical Ampeg amp.

    Good choice.

Although I use my PF500 for mainly rehearsals I have brought it to a couple gigs with a pair of 15's. That rig can bring the thunder!

PF500 is definitely more typically Ampeg sounding.
