Another rig recommendation thread...

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by CauliColin, Jan 11, 2014.

  1. Hi,
I am looking to get a decent rig, as I only have a 20W Peavey and an MXR DI. I play a Fender Jazz, and am looking for a fairly bassy tone, but with treble kicked in if needed. I am looking for a fairly cheap rig, for practice and for gigging. What do you guys think of this?

Would it work? Is there anything that could do with changing?
    Thanks for reading!

  3. I do not mean to sound obnoxious or anything like that, but what sort of benefits would that provide? It's just that it is an extra £150, and I am trying to budget it. If you do have a good argument though, I may change my mind...

Better low end and high end performance, more sound output per watt of input. Best to not skimp on the speaker cabs, get the best you can. They cost the most to ship and tend to be the hardest to come by. Buy once, cry once and have something that will serve you better and longer through the years. :)
