Had D'addario HalfRound 45/100's on my Ibanez SR300

for about around 6 or 7 weeks now.

When I first put them on they sounded pretty good IMO.

Now I'm getting funny harmonics on some notes and a sort of double harmonic on the G string when you play it up near 12th fret......

Some notes have a "rolling" rumble to them.....low E in particular......

    Forever tuning the strings........

replaced the pre-amp battery recently...I don't think that's worn out yet........

    Time for new strings?

OP was sort of like reading a haiku. I feel as though the last line "time for new strings?" is kind of a poetic metaphysical question.

It would look good on a gravestone:

    "Herbert H. Herbert
    1957-2012
    Time For New Strings?"

    Chuckle....:D

well....it's amazing what one-quarter turn of a truss rod can accomplish....

Took the guitar down to my local guitar shop guru's

Was informed I had a slight too much bit of "backbow"...

He turned the trussrod a little...and...suddenly it sounded 150% better

I couldn't see it with my naked eye initially.......but he could.

No need for new strings........sounds great now.....
