    Hi everyone,
I'm have found this bass few days ago and it looks nice. But the logo on the head looks weird to me. Labeled "Crafted in Japan"(heard appeared since 1992) on the neck.
Asked the owner for picture of serial number this evening, didn't get reply yet.

Anyone know if it's a fake Fender or it's good for buying?:help:

    Thx :)

It is, looks my Jaco Jazz which is just a 62 repro. Headstock strap button and truss adjustment at the base of the neck, should have vintage tuners too. Good price if your interested but try to talk him down to $300. I personally like modern basses better, it is pain to loosen a neck off for adjustments but to each their own.

EDIT: It is a lefty, $400 is pretty decent to catch one of these in the wild.

Go play it. And... if this is what you're looking for, how often do these come up? Especially being left handed?

Hmm.. . not only is it left handed but fretless. Might be worth checking that neck and giving it a try first.

Got the serial number from the owner, says Q021043. Does it mean this bass was made around 2002-2004? I'm so confused about fender's serial# D:

It has "Crafted in Japan", thats the part make me confuuuuuuuuused. Cause some posts saying "CIJ" appeared since 1992...but Fender website says CIJ+ Q0 + 5 digits =2002-2004 :rollno:

EDIT: Though I will go buy it anyway, but just want see if I can get some discount on this ;P
