I was considering the future construction of a fearful 1212/6/1 and I realized that the cab is 20.5 inches wide.. perfect size for a rack box right on top, ill just extend the side panels up past the top far enuf for a 3or4 space rack and add another top and some rack rails, this will also give me a perfect place to add a recessed handle without compromising the volume of the box. I use solid state amps so no worries about tube vibration but ill probably do something to isolate the rack rails anyway.
anyone else tried this? if so got pics. or pics of any fearfull 1212/6 for that matter
any good reasons why I shouldn't

I have seen a few pictures of cabs with built in head cases. IMHO I would just build a matching case.

Lighter, less bulky, less weight, and we are fickle beasts when it comes to amps. I wouldnt want to feel tied down to one amp.
