Aria Pro 2 BAss questions

    I saw the 4 string version of this bass in a pawn shop today. However the finished is all scratched up, the hardware is tarnished the pickup poles are starting to rust, missing the buttons. However the neck feels like a dream.

    1. They are asking $200 for it and said they would take $160. However I personally dont think it is worth that price in this condition.
    2. What do you think I would ind if I stripped the finish? Nice wood like teir coffee table models, or just crap wood that should stay painted.

    I want to rescue it for a project, but the price seems too steep.

    what does th ehead stock look like?? go to Aria Pro Club and ask they will know for sure

    I'd pass. That's just me. You can be patient and find one in better shape for the same or slightly more money. It ain't like it's a Cliff Burton Sig SB-1000.

    It would have made sense for me to look at the headstock but huh! it never dawned on me untill after I left:rollno:

    I believe its an rsb something. These AriaPros from japan are really good basses . Play it .. There are some used at GC used section for 399 i believe

    Actually it is an SB which are more sought after which is super bass series im just not sure which one it is

    It's an RSB Special-II. Passive, around 1983-4.

    I doubt the the wood is particularly pretty though. It could be Alder, Basswood or even butcher-block. My RSB-5 (the one in the OP) is solid, but my RSB-I is BB. Doesn't affect the tone from those overwound humbuckers though :D
