    Hey Everyone,

About a year back I picked up a Bartolini NTMB-918F Preamp as a prewired harness from Bestbassgear and put it in my 6 string bass. Then recently the bass knob started to act up where I would go to boost the bass, and the whole amp would shut off. In fact, once it hits the center detent it would shut off.

I ordered a new knob from Bestbassgear and replaced it yesterday but the knob is doing the exact same thing. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

I assume you mean you ordered a new pot that you replaced and not just the knob...

Contact BBG. Their tech dept. is very good.

@SonofBovril, Yes I did replace the pot. Sorry for the typo!

@MrLenny1, Thanks for the advice, I'll do that.

Replace the battery. If not something shorted in the pre.
