What song has a bass line so cool you just had to learn it and show your friends?
    "Blue Turk" Alice Cooper

Dennis Dunaway doesn't get half the respect he deserves!

When I was in high school, Jane's Addiction put out the "Ritual de lo Habitual" album. The first time I listened to it, when "Three Days" came on, I went running for the bass.

Bass became cool when I discovered it would get me more gigs than the guitar.

Agree entirely. One of the greatest rock bass lines every written.

I'd add a couple of Tool numbers, namely "46 & 2" and "Schism".

A lot of the music I listen to as a kid I really have no use for nowadays.

    Alice Cooper I like more.

They opened for Fairport Convention and all the folkies were whining. I attempted to educate them and at least one gal opened her mind a bit.
