Bass Solo on Look to the Sky by Antonio Carlos Jobim

    Hey everybody, this solo occurred during a jazz combos concert at George Mason University. I'm soloing for about 50 seconds on Look to the Sky by Antonio Carlos Jobim. I'd appreciate any and all feedback! Thanks!

    Drummer is arguing with your solo, obscuring the pitch center. Sounds like you have a lot of facility though, well grounded.

    Yeah I think it is almost easier for the audience to have some comping chords (listen to Bill Evans/Scott LaFaro at the village Vanguard, sometimes but rarely is Scotty soloing with Bill. The drums did not help you.
