Hi guys. I know it's really everyone's personal taste, but what do you think which sound is better on bass for alternative rock/ alternative metal, I mean EQ mainly. Mids? Mid cut? I like how bass sound in band like Pillar, Skillet, TDG, Breaking Benjamin, Red, Nickel Back and such band. How to get such sound?
I use Squier Jazz bass, Eden WTDI and EBS Metaldrive. In rehearsal studio guys have ashdown amps.

Boost mids. Play with a pick. Don't bother with the metaldrive. Favor the bridge pickup.
