i love the look of basses without fret markers (dots/ block inlays or other...). but that is obviously not the overriding consideration of selecting a bass.

i have seen some Squire J 5ers, Tobias Toby, and Peavey Grind basses without fret markers (the Peavey actually had some sort of side markers and dots at 24)...

what else is out there with un-dottet boards?

Other than a custom order, the Peavey Cirrus is the only one that comes immediately to mind.

Go to the Carvin website. You can select from tons and tons of options, and they build to your specs within those options - factory direct. The point here is you pick the woods, colors, hardware colors, inlays, etc. "No inlays" is a common choice amongst those getting builds from Carvin for both fretted and fretless, not to mention guitars of course.

They simply knocked the ball out of the park with my recent fretless. It's a birdseye maple board with epoxy finish on the board, a 5 piece neck and 3 piece body.

If you've seen this bass 100 times already on other threads, my apologies -- I simply love this thing.

Most fretless basses, don't have fret markers.

For other fretted basses, I know Sandberg makes them without fret markers. However, like said earlier, it's a company that is specialized in custom(ized) basses.

Warwick. The majority of their models don't have them.

Most of the mayones basses and guitars come without any markers.

I am pretty sure my USA Spector Forte 5 and MTD 535 are fret marker free. Standard from the factory.

Had my '98 Cote Continuum made with a clean birdseye fb. I like the look, but either way, with or without, works for me.

You can build any Carvin bass with no fret markers....

My B25 has only the 12th marked.

I am thinking about putting abalone or mother of pearl dots on a Modulus Q6. Does anyone think it will hurt resale value if I were to ever sell it? I just don't understand why they don't put dots on. I like dots!
