I just got this Valenti yesterday but I think it needs to go and this is the story behind:

I bough this bass back in May but when I got the bass I found that Fedex caused some damage to it. The seller offer me to send the bass to Kevin Kaufman for repair. He did his job but we did not like the finished product so I decided to send the bass to Pat Wilkins for pro finish. I have some idea of the color I wanted and he nailed it !! He also did the assembly of the bass including electronics. Either Kevin and Pat confirmed that no damage was caused to the wood-neck, damage was only on finish, so no issues here. This is a tone monster with so many available options.

The things is that when I bought the bass I had three kids and now I have four! meaning I also have some hospital bills to paid. I told my wife that I should sell the bass to paid the remaining bill balance and she did not agreed , she wants to me call the hospital and request a payment plan but honestly I would like to stop receiving these bills, so for sale:

That is an absolutely gorgeous bass, and the pickups and preamp that it has are a fantastic combination! I know Nino Valenti and the basses that he builds, and he does great work ... as does Pat Wilkins! I have too many basses (particularly four-stringers, which I rarely play any more because I favor 5 and 6 stringers), or I would buy this bass in a heartbeat!

I can tell that this bass is very well made, sounds fantastic and looks great, I look at it and makes me wonder why I am selling it.

35 ??? Better make it 40, just to be on the safe side!

    ;)

That's one beautiful bass. I am interested.
Can you please tell me the depth of the neck at the first fret? I don't mean the nut size, I mean the measurement from the
top surface of the first fret to the middle of the back of the neck. The actual thickness front to back.

Also, what are the reddish streaks around the bridge and bridge pickup area? I can't tell if they're reflections
or actual color pigment in the finish.

What was the nature of the original damage by FedEx?

Do you have more pictures? Thanks,

Altough I really like this bass and I need the money even more , I could not resist a trade offer for a Lakland 4-94 :D ...this bass is on its way to Georgia.
