Benavente 51' P-5 in a Flat Black finish, rosewood board and a 4+1 headstock... Loaded with Nordstrand Big Split pickups and 2 band preamp, vol, blend and stacked bass/treble... It also has 2 extra pickguards.. 34" scale and 20 fret fretboard... Very, very cool bass...
    This the
3rd time I've owned it and I love it, but it's not getting any use.. Asking $1200.00 shipped in the U.S. only...

Not what I was expecting. Looks pretty cool, in a Mr. Fusion meets P-bass way. 19mm spacing? Got any pics of the back?

Bump for a nifty looking instrument.

How I wish.... how I wish.
Probably my favorite bass EVER made. I saw one of the members here posting pics of his 51p all natural finish with natural finish pickups...
Let's just say I couldn't sleep that night.

Weight is just a tad under 10 pounds and it has a push/pull on the volume control for passive mode...

My wife was born in the fine town of Tonawanda. I am going to try the whole fate thing when she wakes up.

    Awesome bass my friend.

I was specifically looking for something more modern, with more frets (and now it's on the way), but, damn, this looks cool and fun to play. Bump for that!

Checked the weight on a digital scale and it's alittle under 10 pounds, not bad for a slab body... It is 19mm at the bridge and 1 7/8ths at the nut...

Same profile as the maple neck that was originally on it? Bought a Frankenbass with that neck and LOVED it. Might be interesting.....

Yes it is... Chris built the neck for it and it feels nice...
I also need to add the control plate is a brushed aluminum, which according to my local luthier is how they originally came...

Is the body a true slab, or does it have a forearm contour? Hard to tell with the black bass in the black case. How would you describe the tone vs. a traditional P or P/J (or J/J?) with the Nordie Big Splits?

Bump for what looks like one of the most fun, 20-fret groove machines on TB right now.
