Here is a gorgeous Benavente Vortex. A fine example of the true craftsmanship of Chris Benavente. Fabulous playing neck, great balance and capable of super low string action if desired. A real work of art. (See pics)

    - Beautiful flamed Bubinga top over nice Ash body.
    - 34" scale neck is maple with multi piece thick Bubinga stringers.
    - Maple fretboard with Bubinga block inlays. Neck is also bound. String spacing is 19mm at bridge
    - Benavente custom preamp with pickup pan, 3 band EQ, active/passive and mute switch
    - Custom DiMarzio dual coal pickups enclosed in matching Bubinga/Ash pickup covers
    - Recessed Strap-loks

A one-of-a-kind instrument this is the prototype Vortex #1. Originally stocked with a John East preamp Chris Benavente later installed his custom Benavente preamp.

In excellent condition. Very few imperfections including small ding on the side of the neck (as seen in the pic above), a couple small indentations in the headstock (not really noticed), and small superficial marks. Look at the attention to detail in this instrument.

Will ship with hard shell case.

I'm looking to trade for a 5 string like Roscoe, Warrior, Tobias, Sadowsky, FBass, Smith, Pavel, maybe higher end Warwick etc. Let me know what you've got.

Sale price: crazy good deal here. I'll probably regret this. $2000 shipped. Paypal fine.

    Thanks

I might have been the first owner of this, if so I got it from Steve Barr when the Dudepit was happening.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, great bass1

Thanks for the offers. One I'm about ready to pull the trigger on. Just want to check. Any Roscoe's or Sadowsky's or similar out there?

Could you by chance do me a favor and send the serial # to me. I have been working on completing some #'s in the great Benavente book of serial #'s. Over the years, things happen and has made some of the numbers unreadable. Thank you very much.
