Best Mods/Additions for Rickenbacker 4003

    Some of those things are really cheap, you could easily do more than one.

    Right, mine came with the Ric case. Very nice-- all latches lock with key

    I would add the Vintage/modern tone switch if its an older 4003.

    Easily done with a push/pull pot and a .0047uF cap.

    The pull-pot? yeah. Pulled it has the high/vintage tone. Mine is a 2011

    you can get the full kit from Ric for around £30. the switch, cap and diagram. all you need to do the refit.

    IMO, the treble pickup bezel and the Schaller strap locks are all the a ric needs.

    Ah crap...I keep reminding myself I need to get straplocks for my Rick. It's my main gigging bass, and duct tape only works for so long.
