Um, two REALLY different basses. One's not better than the other, in my book.

They are very different, I think. I used to own a P way back in the day. It was the nicest bass I'd ever owned up to that point, but it just wasn't right for me. Since then I've become an Ibanez guy. There are other basses that sound great, of course, but they always make me sad when it comes to weight and playability. I'm very happy right now with the everything about my SR505. I imagine the prestige series gets even better. Nordstrand pickups instead of Bartolinis, exotic woods, etc. I'd love to try one.

Depends on what type of feel you're going for, but I'd definitely take the American Precision.

I lvoe the Fender American line but these are different basses. Ibanez has always seemed to have an easier neck for the smaller hands and the tone is very versitle. THe Fender seems solid...it is what it is! Good Luck!

If it were an MIA Standard jazz then I'd say jazz by a mile. I don't like the necks on the P's so I guess by default I'd pick the Ibanez. Does that count? :bag:

i have a prestige sr1300. the tone and playability are amazing. also the light weight is a plus. but the looks are terrible imo. i am in the process of building a very light weight jazz bass right now.

Today it would be the Precision...that's today. I guess it depends on what I needed it for.

QUICK: A fully restored 1957 Chevy or a brand new Mercedes S-class sedan?

The S-class...I wouldn't keep either one, but I'm certain it'd be easier to sell the brand new Mercedes for a better profit.

Hmm... If there's a poll, I guess I can't see it with the iOS app.
