Hadn't seen in mentioned anywhere here yet but it would seem TCE brought the price down from $549.00 to $499.00 on the BG250 210,,,, perhaps TCE was seeing slow sales of the 210 given the big price mark up over the 115 version at $399.00,,,,,, and or perhaps TCE was reading this forum seeing all the postings bitching about the much higher price difference for the 210 version.

Anyhow,,, GC, Amazon and most of other online sellers are now showing this new lowered price.

Yesterday I returned my just purchased BG250 115 to GC and kicked in the extra $100.00 for the possible upgrade from the 115 version,,, I personaly prefer 2x10's over a 1x15 configuration (for the record, I didn't pay full price for either the BG250 115 or the 210 as GC likes me and gives me nice discounts, but it was still around a $100.00 difference)

It's already shipped out and I should have it in a few days.

Having gigged out already last weekend with the 115 in my fairly loud rock cover band it will be interesting to see how the BG250 210 compares this coming weekend during my next live gig with the same loud band.

    Cheers

I hope you dig it. They're dumbasses on pricing these...still.

Agreed DrPepper,,,, a hundred dollar price difference is still a bit much for a 210 vs a 115 with all else being equal,,, but my curiosity has got the best of me so I shelled out the extra money to find out how the 210 would stand up with a loud band in a gigging situation.

    Cheers

Sorry this is bumping an old thread, but I've been thinking of getting the 210, and I was wondering what your review of it is.

Also, where in Vegas do you play and what's the name of your band?

Hey there,,,,, I ended up getting rid of the BG250's and switched the the new Fender Rumble combo amps, got the Rumble 200 1x15 model and the Rumble 2x10 500 watt combo,,,, both them totaly blow away the BG250's I owned,,,,, night and day difference.

For my bigger gigs my GK MB500 head and 2x12 Neo cab is just insane.

As far as where in Vegas I'm playing, my band in contracted with Stations Casino's and the house band every Saturday night at Jack's Pub inside The Palace Station (every Sat night 9pm till 1am) we also play other venues and do some covention gigs,, but Jacks is our resident gig.

At Jacks I use my Fender Rumble 500watt 2x10 combo and it's more than enought to blow the room away even if I'm not in the FOH (Jacks holds 160 people).

But right now my entire band is switching over to ALL in ears and will in the next few weeks have NO amps on stage at all and just run Everything thru the PA (we're doing this at the request of our sound/lighting person and Station Casinos,,,, a lot of venues in Vegas are now going to a NO amp's on stage policy as well,,,, I persoaly would rather stick with an amp and not go JUST in ears,,, but when the hotels that are paying the big money say go go in ears Ya go in ears.

    Cheers

Quick question also. I am thinking of going with the Fender 500w head & was wondering about the tone of the Fender amps. I know you are using a combo with but how would you think the head through two 2x10's would be. I have a Hartke LH500 right now and love the tone but it is 25 lbs

    Thanks
