I tried watching it a couple times. I can't get into it. I'd like to, that era in history is interesting to me.

I watched it and enjoyed it a good bit but then I tend to like most any film or book that involves maritime activities. I usually don't like pilots and especially when they're having to set up as much as Black Sails has to but I enjoyed it.

Should be interesting to see how the Captain's (don't know the character names yet) play for the missing page is going to work out.

Yes, a lot of character set up. Looks like a lot of side plots etc...but I'm in...for now at least.

    Hi.

Have it on my HDD, but I want to dl a few more episodes before starting watching it.

I do fear it's yet another unwatchable manure like the Falling
Skies or The Last Resort, but since pirates have always had a special place i my heart, I really, REALLY would like it to be at least bearable.

    Regards
    Sam

Those pirates have a really good dental health plan evidently.

I caught the first episode. There's definitely been a fair amount of character establishment and exposition. And pretty much all of the actors are unknowns. At least to me. I'm going to stick with it for at least the next couple of weeks in order to see where things go.

    Hi.

Still waiting for a few more episodes before watching.

The dwindling DL hits are not looking very promising so far though...:meh:

I'm digging it. It started a bit slow but has picked up some steam and I'm liking most of the characters more and more.

We don't get Starz in our household unfortunately. Cable company wants $20 extra per month to add the package we would need to get it.

    Hi.

Watched the episodes, and the series indeed picked up some speed towards the end of the season.

While it wasn't as bad as I feared it'd be, it IMO wasn't as good as I'd hoped it would be either.
If there's a second season, I'll watch it though.

    Regards
    Sam
