About two months ago, a beat 1970's Univox Badazz bass came into our store stripped of literally everything except for the frets, neck joint plate and the binding. I ended up taking it off the customers hands for $20 with the hopes of refinishing it. I've got everything I need at this point except for the bridge. The problem I'm facing is that the now standard string spacing seems to be around 2 1/4 inches, but the neck on this bass is much smaller than the standard bass, about the same size as an Epiphone Viola bass, meaning I need a bridge between 1 7/8 and 2 1/8 inch spacing to get it match up with the neck. Allparts call and a google search later, I haven't been able to find anything close.

Can anybody help point me in the right direction?
