Hello folks, i bought this bass from garage sell for 25$ and i was very happy to get that bass because it has a great vintage look. One of it's pickup missing and pickguard was painted to grey as you see at pictures. But when i check internet for identify the model, i didn't find anything. İts obviously Lyon Bass but manufectured year and model still missing point for me. Did you see any bass like this and can you identify this bass?
Sorry for my bad english and quality of photos :)

Wow---that is really odd. I really doubt it is a Lyon. Body shape looks like a different brand and someone put on a Lyon heel plate and maybe a Lyon neck which I doubt as the headstocks on Lyons are never blank anyway. Also note the heel plate comes right up to the edge of the bass's neck joint--not quite right there either. Too, the serial number indicates 1993 date (NOT 1983), but the 1991 date written into the wood negates the heel plate being an original part of the bass. I guess I could be wrong, but that just does not look right for a Lyon at all to me. I think it is a mix and match parts bass.

    Anyone else have a suggestion?

It's just a P copy that someone cut chunks out of.

Maybe someone carved a P-type body to make their own personal bass?

It looks like your bass might have a melanoma below the neck plate. You might want to take her to a dermatologist. ;)
