So my back is killing me for a while now. I wear my bass up high, don't have a photo unfortunatly, my camera is broken. (I will use a picture of John Patitucci to give you a slight idea how I wear my bass guitar)

I haven't noticed much problems when I had my bass a bit lower, but this way I can't play the bass properly. My bass weighs somewhere around 9 / 10 pounds, not 100 % sure on this.

Is there any way to make sure my back doesn't hurt so much? I don't feel like buying a duo strap or something, so if you guys and girls have some idea's, please share them with me! :)

    Many thanks!

This will vary from person to person, and where the bass sits on the body is only one of the factors. A good chiropractor would be able to give you advice on the best position for you. A good strap that distributes the weight properly is essential, though.
