1. Welcome to TalkBass 2014! If you're new here, we just went through a major site upgrade. Please make yourself at home! I've deleted the previous "migration" threads, please post all concerns and bugs to the Forum Usage Issues forum. We will be monitoring that forum.

The TalkBass iphone/android app is NOT WORKING currently. We're working on it. Tapatalk IS working, so if you need to use an app, use Tapatalk. Try using your browser though - TalkBass is now 100% responsive to your phone/tablet screen size ;)

Please read the TalkBass 2014 FAQ for lots of great info on the new software.

Can you adjust the Precision Special rod without disassembling ?

I seriously consider getting the precision special but before that I would like to confirm with anyone who owns and maintenance the bass: is it possible to adjust the truss rod without unscrewing the neck and/or pickguard ?

I saw the ball end fender keys - will it be possible with it ?

This is kind of the deal breaker for me so I would be grateful for the answer.

    Thanks in advance.

Put a notched pick guard on it and you can.
I can adjust my P5 and Jazz with no problems.

Yes, there is a small cut out routed in the pickguard for that reason. It will require the the 3/16 ball end, T-handle wrench. The wrench should be included. That is a great Pbass IMHO.
