I posted this in the Misc. section, but I'm not sure where it fits, so I'll try here, too.

My bass case has developed a crack In it over the years and I'm sensing the need to repair it. What is the best adhesive to use? The case is a hard plastic Modulus case. The crack is just below the handle, so I need something strong.

Could you use a strip of aluminum, and pop rivet it in place? Near the handle is not good. Maybe time for a new case.

Maybe. Someone in the misc. section suggested plastic welding. I'm going to see if this is an option.

    Thanks!

If the case is ABS, then ABS glue from the hardware store is a start. I'd layer fiberglass on the inside, glued down with the glue and see if it will bond.

Lots of different kinds of plastics, and you need to use different glues for each kind.
