Are you an alumnus of the Dick Grove School of Music, by any chance?

I studied harmony and composition with Dick for about a year. He used this same approach, but only as an intellectual concept. In part 2, I'll show you how to apply this to your bass as a helpful tool in transitioning from one chord to another.

Those are fun! I put the blank one on a stand to play them in time as a mental / finger challenge. Love it! Got any more?

I just downloaded in free groove pdf and signed up for his mailing list. He has a lot of really good things to say. Chord tone recognition will make you a better bass player!
