So first of all, I'm posting this under basses, since i wasn't exactly sure where it should go, and i figured I would probably get the most replies here :)

So here's the dildo, Christmas is coming up as I'm sure you all know, and my parents have been asking me what i want for Christmas (keep in mind that i am only 18, so they will still give me gifts as per usual). Now obviously i want something bass related, but I can't ask them for a whole new bass, since the ones i want are mighty expensive, and i already have 5 :p. So my question to you guys is; what would you guys give a bassist, or want as a bassist, for Christmas?

I already have some ideas, which include; the Soundblox pro envelope filter, maybe a drum machine?

When writing ideas, please make them specific, not just : "pedals" :D

    Thanks in advance guys!

Maybe someone should buy him a copy of Naked Lunch written by William Burroughs. That's how Steely Dan got their name. Maybe he is hoping to join them someday.

Won't be asking for a Stick-O-Johnson anytime soon, but if you're in a generous spirit, a BOSS CEB-3.

How about some nose candy and a hooker?
There, someone had too say it.
Or, a MXR Octave deluxe or envelope pedal.

It's a joke that Ray William Johnson made, thought someone might get the reference. Sorry for distracting you from the actual question..

Feels like this turned into a thread about dildos.. My apologies to anyone who got offended by it, seems I have failed miserably with my attempted joke:crying:

Sorry man I'm to busy making myself laugh. How about a good distortion pedal? Stands, strings and extra straps? I like each bass I own to have its own strap. Do you have a case for each bass you own?

Yeah those are great ideas, who doesn't need extra strings? I actually have straps for 4 out of my 5, but the 5th i never use so i don't mind. I don't have any cases, only gig bags, 3 of them.

FWIW, I actually understood the reference (then again, I'm 18...and I know who RWJ is :smug:).

As for presents, ask for straps/a case/other accessories. Maybe ask for pickups if you've been thinking of replacing the stock ones in one of your basses.

I have a similar problem...might ask for a Warmoth gift certificate (because I want to build a short scale), but I don't know.
