Sitting in my office last night putting the final touches on the gig list for the Christmas season and I just laugh because unlike the normal band/corporate gig list this one is a busy....busy.....busy...... schedule! And all in the month of December!

9 - Corporate Holiday Parties (All weeknights no weekends)
3 - Mall Gigs (1st one is on Black Friday of all days)
    4 - Church Gigs
1 - Night of caroling........(the kids love this one)

It's the most wonderful time of the year!!!!!!

    What is your schedule like?

Until drama in my jazz trio made me quit two gigs, I had in November, December and 1st Week of January

    4 restaurant
    5 Mall
    2 Corporate Parties

    Now I have
    2 Restaurant
    5 Mall
    2 Corporate parties

And I'm refusing to quote on other jobs coming my way because the musician's wives are complaining. They turned down two good paying gigs on top of these ones.

The only thing I have left is NYE to book.

    Hi,

That is a pretty busy month! Congrats!

So far I've got 6 engagements in December.

*Private party on the Queen Mary.
*Private party at Great Park in Irvine.
*One Sunday (3 services) on the worship team at church.
*One weekend (2 nights) at The Ranch in Anaheim.
*New Year's Eve at Cars Land in Disney's California Adventure.

NYE could be pretty chilly. We played there last year and the temperature was near 40*F about midnight.

I'm hoping to pick up a few more to get a little extra scratch for Christmas presents. We'll see.

Is it too early to start wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving, a Merry Christmas, and a Happy and Prosperous New Year? :hyper:

    Thank you for your indulgence,

    BassCliff

I wish we had more gigs. Right now we've only got 1 and it's just a standard bar gig, nothing to do with the holidays at all.

    I think we're doing 3 or 4.
