    Phew.

Wrong forum, no details in the title..,. I get scared when I see that.... Especially with the older masters!

All good, dude..... Just pulling your leg.
Post this in the Bassists or Recording forums and you will likely get a good conversation going.

P.s. check out his bass line on Steely Dan's Peg. He was told NOT to slap.... So he hid behind a partition so nobody in the studio saw he was slapping. Great baseline that is easy to play.

I've been sitting with Chuck today too. Started this morning with this from another thread: .

Then I had to go to work. I got back on it when I go home this eve. Learned some cool stuff today.

Josie... I used to play that quite a bit in a cover band. Those double stops are a P.I.T.A.:bassist:

just learning this, cool song and bass line.

I was thinking of cheating and not playing the double stops, not sure anyone would even notice playing live in a bar.

    Pure talent from Rainey's fingers.
I like all the songs with Rainey playing bass, and hates the ones with Becker on bass.
    Funny how that workes out.

Rainey plays on this old Joe Walsh tune from Barnstorm. Good stuff.

Nothing wrong with Becker's playing on Deacon Blues. In My opinion at least.

Covered lots of Aja in the mid-70s and never had a problem with "Josie" or "Peg." I think it's just matter of being facile and practicing.

    Burn!!

Anyway, Chuck is great to say the least. I've been watching Classic Album's Aja on Netflix a lot here lately.
