Background: There have been some recent CL ads in this area with people claiming to be pros and are looking for "pro only" situations and apparently this guy has had enough of it. The car comment made me laugh.

    ---------------------

PRO guy looking to start PRO band with PRO people must be a PRO

Hello all you PROS out there.
I am a PRO musician looking to start a PRO band with PRO people. You must be a PRO with PRO song writing abilities, PRO gear, PRO attitude, even PRO looks. Must have own PRO transportation with a PRO car, must be a PRO age and be drug free (unless they are PRO drugs, then it's ok)
I am a PRO and you must live up to my PRO standards if you want to make a PRO band with me and get PRO gigs with other PRO bands. So send me a PRO message assuring me that you are a PRO with a PRO attitude who wants to write PRO songs.

    PROS only!

    Thanks.

I would write this person like an amateur just to see what happened.

Ask him if he is looking for a PRO. The ad is a little ambigious.

Are his songs that repetitive too? Hey hey we're a PRO band, and people say we're PRO all the way.

Well, he didn't say his band was the next big thing and that if you didn't want to make it big, stay away. So, I would reply, making sure he knows I am a complete PRO. It's not music that I'm a PRO at, but he didn't specify what kind of PRO you have to be. He said PRO songwriting, but what does that mean, anyway? I could just set one of my PRO reports to music, and there you have it!

PRO idiot. There is a guy from these parts like that. His bands implode before or right after the first gig.

PRO attitude probably means I want you to practice 3-4 times a week for zero gigs.

I'm thinking it was meant as a joke. Probably in response to an ad to which he responded.

I'm thinking that most of the people who have replied to this don't know what satire is.

It was only missing "Gigs booked, agent backed, label interest" to be complete.
