The New Deal- $1850 get's it.

Here is a real beauty of an EUB from Clevinger. The Opus is the top of the solid body line, and this one has all the options added like Tiger maple top, gold hardware, and the Holosonic pickup. It also includes a Cordura fleece lined bag and the heavy duty stand. This package ordered today would be well over $4000 and a 5-6 month wait.
This is a 2002 model, I've had it for 8 years and it is is in excellent clean condition. It is a 41.5" scale and strung with Thomastik Spirocores with plenty of life, with an extra used set. Also included is a French bow. I will post some more detailed photos asap.

Asking price is $2100 plus actual shipping to US and Canada.
Trade value $2400. May be interested in a trade for an early Fender Fullerton 62 Jazz Reissue or other classic 4 or 5 string of similar value.
Please pm me for more info and visit http://www.clevinger.com/
Here is a track I used it on- https://soundcloud.com/emblymouse/bass-heavy-red-is-all-mix-one
    Thanks for looking!

Beautiful. Clevinger is as good as it gets for EUB, and the OPUS is as good as it gets for Clevinger.

    Crazy great deal here! GLWTS!

A little back story... Martin Clevinger builds these to order. You don't hear so much about his basses because there is no retail presence or advertising. Other than NAMM it's been word of mouth since the early 80's. He really was at the forefront of the modern EUB, and as far as I can see most of the current offerings are based on his original concept. Azola came from Martin's shop for instance.
This is not a hybrid instrument. At it's interface with the hands and body of the player it replicates the business end of a double bass. His basses have been embraced by many DB players because of this. These perform very well arco, many EUB's do not.

After 35 years of bass guitar I fell into this bass immediately, it is a pleasure to play and will not fight you. You can adjust the action in a minute with a screwdriver. If you are a skeptical DB'er this is the one to try. If you are a serious newby this will be a blast from day 1.

Trade value $2400, but I am receptive to reasonable cash offers.
    Thanks again for looking.

You may notice faint shapes on the fingerboard, these are position markers of black electrical tape at the octave and above. I also put little dots of White Out on the edge of the board as reference. These are all totally removable if you don't feel you need them but I'm leaving them on in case it's helpful for the next owner.

This is a rare opportunity to own a Clevinger at this kind of price, especially one as decked out and clean as this. I don't need to sell this, but I would really prefer it go to another TB'er to enjoy rather than hang around here. I repeat-I am very open to reasonable cash offers and possible trades.

Hey, I'm very receptive to a trade + cash that nets me at least $900.
Turn on's include TecAmp, long walks on the beach, dining out and and Fender-ish 34" scale skinny neck 5 strings.
