I recently heard that you can connect a combo to a cab.
How does this work and what do I need to make it work?

A speaker output normally marked "Ext. Speaker" if it has one. What kind of combo do you have?

It should be a 1/4" SPEAKER jack, not LINE OUT, preamp out, effects send, or anything else. If it says SPEAKER OUT, or EXT SPKR, connect with a speaker cable, not an instrument cable= and watch the minimum impedance.
