What are some things you do that are technically complete waste of time?

Like right now i'm gonna go and play Minecraft probably all day. It's an unproductive waste of time that will not better my life in any way but i don't give a ****. I have too much anxiety right now and digging endless caverns and tunnels for hours feels like good way to lessen some of it (and by that i mean, a good way to put my head in the sand and pretend nothing is happening).

I bet someone will probably answer playing bass and/or being in a band...i do realise that in the grand scheme of things, you could say everything is a waste of time, i guess i mean things that do not better your financial situation, from which you learn nothing and doesn't even really make you feel any better about yourself or like fulfilled....accomplished.... whatever.

Shoveling snow in Michigan.....it just keeps coming back to life like a zombie.

TB is usually a waste of time. Unless I am searching for and find an answer to a question I have. The discussion level is pretty meh mostly. I have gained great insight from this site into why many people think bass players are idiots....sometimes by just reading my own posts after the fact.:D

Everything is needed in balance, if anything, some time wasting down time is a good thing.

    (keeping in mind, talking moderation)

For me it'd mainly be TV (Netflix is too more-ish) and video games.

Minecraft is fun. Especially if you mod it enough. Having fun is not a waste of time.

I have Cookie Clicker running 24/7. I don't click or watch what's going on, and every other weekend or so I'll do a soft reset which is basically starting anew. That is a waste of time. I should stop. Before that, I played Diablo 3 loooong after it lost all the appeal it might have had and it became a second job. An idiot job.

Too much fun and not enough of anything else, its not good.

And yeah its fairly modded though im trying to get mods together for a later version of the game and its a bitch. I don't like the way this game is going, theyre making it harder for people to mod now and the result is that not as many people bother. There's a graph somewhere showing the number of mods available for older versions compared to newer. Its a huge drop.

Yes, I've heard tales of such things happening. But I'm yet to be convinced. :ninja:

Minecraft has largely dropped in popularity altogether. Most players have long moved on, myself included. Minecraft used to be what people did on Youtube to make tons of money, and now barely anyone makes MC videos. The fact that modmaking is slowing down is only a consequence of the game losing popularity. I think that the modding community is what made MC great, so in turn, the slowing down of modmaking is hurting the game even more, in turn.

You can always keep playing an older version. Recent additions are not gamechanging, and mods have done all that before and better.
