just wanted to post this for anyone curious about the Aguilar obp3. No way would I have installed this myself. I paid about $60 bucks for labor and pots, got the pre new for $140 so about a $900 total investment in this bass now and it sounds like it costs over 2 grand. IMO it sounds just as good as my old neck through warwick thumb and in some ways even better. As you can see the stock pots are attached to the original circuit board so all the pots had to be changed out. I was able to reuse 3 of the 4 knobs, went from a 2 band to a 3 band so I went with a stacked bass and treble, mid knob is push pull for frequency select, a blend, and a master volume. the pot holes did not have to me modified to fit the new pots at all.

that is a lot of wiring. wouldve driven me crazy. the pre amp is held in place with 2 sided tape so it doesn't flop around at all.
