    Wow! That is um...unique!
Starting bid has one too many zeros IMO.

You can Buy it now for $2300, Seems like its an elusive 3 string model also, Geddy would be proud.

Just noticed from the back photo this was originally to be a very happy whale bass.

    At least one too many.

You could hang it on the wall and make a nice clock out of it, though.

WOW....I think I cam build that for about $200 in parts......I guess the price is because of the unique woodworking and quality tuners an neck.....
Man I wish I had the money!
    Or maybe not.
  8. Corrected.
  9. Mothbass's "special" cousin

  10. Look like Suhr or Delano pickups at least .
  11. If this were a two-string model, I'd be all over it.

I like all the controls that help you shape the tone.
  13. From the Ebay seller's notes (emphasis mine):

"This is a custom made electric bass guitar. It is in full working order. The intonation is a little off, as you get to the 12th fret you need to really hit the 13th for it to be an Octave E."

I've heard of 70s pickup spacing but this is ridiculous.
  15. So, the bridge is set too far forward.

This is hilarious. I think this guy should've consulted the builder of the moth bass.

Yeah, that's enough of a reason to want to get away, and my thoughts are quite apprehensive

Exactly! That's an easy fix. I mean if the intonation "prob" is the only negative you guys can musterÂ… Oh yeah, I know, it's really heavy too. :rollno: Whatever, guys!
I'd string it B E A D and I figure that'll keep the high string from popping (again, easy fix).
I'm sure some big shot Canadian bassist will end up getting this gem and playing it for only one song.
