I don't own one myself. Yet, as much as I know, present
(2012 on) American Standard Fender (Jazz and Precision) sport same characteristics of preceding series, a few more finish options and, yes, CS pickups with that precise sticker to advertise the thing

    Cheers,

Fender doesn't put Custom Shop pickups in there American Standard Precision V or American Standard Jazz V string basses.
They only put Custom Shop pickups in the American Standard Precision and Jazz 4 string basses, now do you know what I mean.

Weird. Can't be a pg swap. Did they move the sticker from a 4? Mistake at Fender finishing bench? Who knows lol.

Most likely it's an error in the listing from the dealer. When Fender started offering the Custom Shop pickups in the American Standard series basses, they never made a clear statement regarding 4 sting versus 5 string basses.

AFAIK, the Custom Shop only makes bass pickups for 4 string Precision and Jazz basses. So it would stand to reason that the pickups that are in American Standard 5 string P-Basses and J-Basses are probably the same stock from before Fender made this transition to Custom Shop pickups.

    I mean:
Samarium Cobalt Noiseless, adopted on mid 2000s American Deluxe models, were sold even separately as Fender Custom Shop products.

American series pickups of same period (before American Standard series) were apparently also sold separately as Custom Shop parts, so if memory serves, they were supposed to be available for both 4er and 5er basses.

So did first generation Noiseless pickups, still in use on many Custom Shop creations. Now why these generically mentioned Custom Shop pickups should ever be only for 4ers?

    Cheers,

I gotta admit that, not only CS pickups are on American Standard Precision and Jazz 4 string basses ONLY

American Standard Precision 5 string bear AlNiCo V magnets; American Standard Jazz 5 string bear... plain American Standard singles

So picture found by the OP obviously depict a (sidetrackin') sticker swap.

    Cheers,
